Volunteer Roles
Tech-Takeback is committed to equal opportunities for all. We welcome applications from anyone aged 18+ living in the UK, and offer training and support to help you develop the skills you need.
SHOP ASSISTANT:
If you’re a people-person with strong communication and customer service skills, our shop floor could be the perfect place for you. You’ll be taking payments, accepting donations and liaising with our warehouse about stock requests. Or why not put your technical knowledge to good use responding to customer queries and helping them get the most out of their purchases?
DISPLAY ASSISTANT:
Are you creative with a flair for interior design or visual displays? We need you to help us display our stock to its best advantage. You’ll help drive sales by keeping our shelves looking full and inviting for our customers.
TREASURE HUNTER:
Calling all bargain hunters! Whether you’re a good all-rounder or have a specialist interest, you could help us identify the hidden gems and unlikely treasures among our donated stock. You’ll make sure our prices reflect the true value of our goods and help raise awareness by identifying interesting or unusual items to promote on social media.
TESTER/TINKERER:
All our stock is repaired and tested in our warehouse before it arrives at the shop, but things do sometimes go wrong. We’re seeking volunteers who can test our refurbished stock before we sell it; helping us identify and troubleshoot any problems before they arise.
DISASSEMBLER:
Not confident fixing things? Why not learn to break them instead?! Our volunteer disassemblers play a vital role in ensuring that anything we can’t repair is recycled fully and responsibly, and that any valuable or reusable resources are salvaged.
