Urgent appeal - demand is up by 800%

One in five people in our community has no access to a computer at home, affecting education, employment, social isolation and life expectancy. 

​We're working to change that. But for the first time in five years, we’re being forced to refer people to waiting lists, when what they really need is help right now.

This winter, referrals to our free laptop scheme from charities, schools and other support organisations have surged by more than 800%.

Every day, we’re hearing from people who are digitally excluded:

• GCSE students trying to revise on their phones
• Jobseekers who can’t access online applications
• Refugees who just want to see their family’s faces again

We want to keep saying yes. But to do that, we urgently need help to keep our work sustainable:
