Secure collection

Your laptop is collected in our electric van. It goes into a sealed crate with a unique ID tag, so that we can track it every step of the way. Back at our warehouse it's logged in with a full audit trail.

Triage

Your laptop will be ​triaged for reuse or resource recovery. If it's reuseable, our team of experts will repair and refurbish it. If not, it will be  dismantled for spare parts and responsible recycling.

Data erasure

Before anything else, your laptop will be securely data erased to HMG Infosec standard 5. If that fails, its drives will be destroyed.  Certificates are issued to business donors.

Reuse

At least 10% of reuseable laptops are donated to those in need. Your laptop might find a new life with someone like Oliver, Harper or Sohana (right). Or it might be sold to raise vital funds for our work.

Tracking and reporting

We document the social and environmental benefits of your laptop,. If it's been donated for digital inclusion, we'll track its success over at least a six-month period, so you can report on its impact with confidence.
