The Brighton & Hove Library of Things has a catalog of over 15 high quality tools available, from suppliers like Bosch, Kärcher and STIHL. Popular items include carpet cleaners, pressure washers, drills, sanders and saws. Prices are affordable, and include concessionary rates for anyone who needs a bit of extra help. Borrowing is easy, you sign up and reserve online, and collect your item from our Revaluit shop on North Street. After use, we ask you to check the item is clean, and that all parts are accounted for, and you return it to the shop. You choose how long you want the item, from just a day to longer term, where discounts often apply. Starter consumables, such as carpet cleaning tablets, and any protective equipment such as goggles, are included with your item. We especially encourage people without experience to borrow the tools. There are how-to guides linked in your reservation email, written for the very model you will be borrowing. Sharing the things we only use now and again cuts down on clutter, is more affordable, brings people together and is kinder to our planet. So why not give borrowing a go? |
